For the Nuki Home Set NFC (Deadbolt), the challenge was to create product page messaging for a third-party brand that seamlessly tied into the Samsung Wallet and SmartThings brand messaging, and clearly explained how the lock works with SmartThings while translating technical features like Thread connectivity and smart home integrations into benefits that everyday consumers could understand.

I needed to position Nuki not only as a smart lock, but as a gateway to a more convenient, connected home.

Key Messaging:

  • Simple access: Tap to unlock your door with Samsung Wallet and SmartThings.

  • Seamless connectivity: Show how Nuki works within the SmartThings ecosystem.

  • Smarter routines: Demonstrate how users can use SmartThings to create custom routines that automatically trigger when the door is unlocked, enabling helpful automations throughout the home.

The PDP copy was designed to guide readers from product discovery to understanding value, encouraging them to view the smart lock as part of a broader smart home experience.

Messaging Framework

To simplify a complex smart lock product and position it within the SmartThings ecosystem, the messaging was structured around four pillars:

Make the Galaxy phone the primary key, removing the need for physical keys and simplifying everyday entry.

2. Trusted Security
Reinforce the safety of digital access through Samsung Wallet protection and end-to-end encryption.

Give users the ability to share, manage, and revoke entry permissions easily.

Show how unlocking the door can trigger helpful routines throughout the home using SmartThings.

This framework ensured the product page moved beyond technical specifications and instead communicated clear, everyday value for consumers.
